He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Victoria "Torie" Borinstein; and his brother John Borinstein. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jeremy Borinstein, Julie Fabros (Charles) and Elyse Kociolek (Matt); his grandchildren, Cesaria, Fabros and Ava Kociolek; and his siblings, Barbara Fredrickson (David), Mark Borinstein and Janine Flow.
