He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Seys and Margaret Seys (VanDeWoestyne); his cousin Jim Betcher; and his brothers-in-law, Gene DeClercq and Randy Engstrom.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Murphy; his children, Dawn Shelton (Jack) of Silvis, Darcy Holle of Bettendorf, Derrick Seys (Anne) of Geneseo, Dayna Mitchell (Gary) of Colona, Darren Seys (Shelbie) of Parkland, FL and Damon Seys (Joy) of Orion; his grandchildren, Michele Soukup (Joe), Nick Shelton, Alyssa Vander Schel (Jake), Justin Holle (Abbe), Jennifer Bush (Mike), Amelia Seys, Taytum Hubert (Caleb), Sayde Rogers (Gabe), Chayse, Addy, Lucy Mitchell, Von, Vail, Vance Seys, Noah, Hope, Thea and Sophia Seys; his great grandchildren, Xander, Lucas Soukup, Zoey, Braxton, Bella Bush and Rose Hubert; and his siblings, Marie Fiers, Polly DeClercq, Bonnie Engstrom, Sue Clearman (Greg) and Dick Seys.
Memorials may be made to the family to be donated to local addiction recovery programs.
