She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Meter and Elizabeth Meter (Adolph); her husband Earl W. Pierce; her grandson Dennis Smith; her siblings, Esther Miller, Helen Kehn, Irene Michal, Lydia Weber, Henry Meter, Alexander Meter, Walter Meter and Harry Meter; and her half-brother Donald Meter.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Pierce (Jeanne) of Maryville, Tennessee and Susan Smith (Gary) of Carbon Hill, Illinois; her grandchildren, Keith Smith (Jennifer), Kayla VanDerKarr-Smith, Alexander Pierce and Samantha Pierce; her great grandchildren, Kasey, Kelly, Kerry VanDerKarr and Donovan Smith; and her brother Reinhold Meter of Bayard.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rosie's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
