He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Monbrum and Mary Monbrum; his son Rodney Monbrum Sr.; his grandson Evan Vint; his siblings, Lawrence (Peggy), Hector (Shirley), Carl Monbrum and Norma Lazier (John); and his daughter-in-law Crystal Monbrum.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Susan Wells (Larry) of Essex, IL., Jean Salinas (Gerardo) of Texas, Kathryn Vint (Pat) of Mazon and Richard Monbrum (Gloria Smith) of Coal City; his grandchildren, Nicole Ford, Rodney Monbrum Jr., Emily Wells, Allison Yuhasz, Cheyenne Salinas, Aaron Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Ryan Vint, Taylor Monbrum, Zakk Mitchell and Nick Parks; and his great grandchildren, Carter Ford, Bryce Monbrum, Jude Wells, Gabriel Yuhasz, Easton Roberts, Mackenzie Roberts, Nathan Eamon and Zayden Palmer.
