He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Martis and Anna Martis (Papach); and his siblings, Leonard Martis, Elmer Martis (Marge) and Barbara Marketti (Lou).
He is survived by: his wife Delores "Sis" Martis; his children, Debbie Fatlan (Shorty) of Diamond, Allen Martis (Lisa) of Coal City, Brian Martis (Dawn) of Coal City, Cathy Lyons (Greg) of Coal City and Carol Halliday (Terry) of Coal City; his grandchildren, Amy Kelly (John) of Mazon, Missy Kramer (Scott) of Goose Lake, Brock Martis (Kristy) of Coal City, Ben Lyons (Felicia) of New Lenox, Jaime Frazier (Mike) of Coal City, Jena Martis (Kyle) of Coal City, Luke Lyons (Nikki) of Coal City, Brittany Halliday of Coal City, Emily Halliday of Coal City and Maddie Halliday of Coal City; and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Tucker, Leo, Robert John, Stellan and Vincent. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
