He was predeceased by: his father Anton F. Cerny; his grandparents, Hazel, William "Cat" Bell, Ida and Joseph Cerny; and his brother-in-law Eddie Lancaster.
He is survived by: his mother Sandra S. Cerny; his wife Lynn McNamara; his children, Mindy Londeau (Edward) of Florida, Lora Mae Cerny of Coal City and Michael A. Cerny II (Jennifer) of Carbon Hill; his grandchildren, Layla, Maggie of Gianna, R. J., Lily, Ambiance, Sunny and Luna Rae; his sisters, Cindy Brackett (Kim) of Coal City, Tammy Christian (Kevin) of Morris and Lori Lancaster (late Eddie) of Carbon Hill; and his stepchildren, Shauna Bolte, Emma Lorenc and Connor Zdunich. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
