With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Votta Swanson of Coal City, Illinois, who passed away on July 5, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Votta and Kathryn Vaira Votta of Braidwood, Illinois.; her husband Ernie Swanson; her brother Joseph Votta; and her siblings-in-law, Rosella Votta, Wilma Votta, Dolores Swanson (Pooch), Avis Brancato, LaVerne Kelly, William Swanson, Sam Brancato and Fritz Kelly.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Swanson Stybr; her son-in-law Dave; her brother Albert Votta; her siblings-in-law, Naomi Bianchetta and Gene Bianchetta; her cousin Mary Kay Decker; her caregiver Mary Lynn Grimes; and her close friends, Dorothy Snyder, Marge Broucek, Lori Rink and Esther Knorr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Memorial donations in her name may be directed to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Jude's Hospital for Children, or Shiner's Hospital for Children.
