He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph DeGulie and Janet DeGulie; his sister Freda Blair (Ghlee); and his siblings-in-law, Jim, Donita Plese and Leo Plese.

He is survived by: his wife Lucille DeGulie of Coal City; his nieces, Becky Ball (late Jerry) and Jackie Rilea (Jim); his nephew Kevin Blair (Annita); and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Tyler (late James), Ceil Plese (late Leo), Madonna Orr (Jack), Dean Plese (Judy) and Margaret Paoletti (Albert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Joe's memory to: Coal City Lions, Unit #1 Foundation, Coal City United Methodist Church Building Fund, The John and Margaret Plese Scholarship Fund at University of St. Francis or Good Shepherd Center.
