He is survived by: his wife Brooke Ariana Buffington of Clay City; his former wife Janet Lee Smith Buffington of Olney; his children, Richard Hugh Buffington of Clay City and Rebecca Buffington of Olney; his granddaughters, Sierra Lee Buffington of Flora, Autumn Renee Buffington of Flora and Andrea Nicole Buffington of Flora; his sister Bonnie; his nephew David Farley; his parents-in-law, Brian and Brenda Farrey of Flora; his siblings-in-law, Heather Lynn Farrey Hogan (Cody) of Milwaukee, WI, David James Farrey (Tyler) of Oblong and Laurel Dingman (Ryan) of Mt. Vernon; and his niece Arianna Dingman of Mt. Vernon.
