Alice Gill Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Gill of Clay City, Illinois, who passed away on March 15, 2021 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Wilson and Josephine Wilson (Tetrick); her former husbands, Harold Carter and Robert Guy Staley; her husband Gaylord Gill; her children, Shirley Garrett, Marilyn White and Harold Carter; and her siblings, Thelma Glover, Nora Hunley, Charles Wilson and Richard Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Lewis Carter of West Salem, Marjorie Smith of Braidwood, Robert Guy Staley (Dee Ann) of Clay City and Steven Staley (Tammy) of Pontiac. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to Clay City First Christian Church or Clay County Hospice and will be accepted through the funeral home.
