He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kobus and Anna Kobus; and his wife Evelyn Kula. He is survived by: his children, Susan Savitzky (Mike), Dale Risley (James Jr.), Richard L. Kobus (Julia), Donna Mandel and Gary Kobus (Kate); and his grandchildren, Mike Jr., Jennifer, Nick, Allison, Kristin, James III, Katie, Julia, Alexandra, Jason, Jared, Jack, Andrew and Brandon. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (120 N Ela Rd, Barrington, IL 60010). A Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Adalbert Cemetery (6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
