He is survived by: his wife Angela Mendoza-Martinez; his children, Leon Martinez, Jr. (Susan), Maria Martinez (Ruben Torres) and James Martinez (Denise); and his grandchildren, Laura, Niza, Bejamin and Anthony.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Original Rago Brothers Funeral Homes (7751 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60634). A prayer was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Borgia Roman Catholic Church (8033 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60634). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Maryhill Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
