We were only a few years apart in age, so we had a natural affinity as colleagues since we had many commonalities based on the cultural and historical events we both lived through at similar ages. Once we'd finish the "work side" of our calls, I'd ask him how things were going for him - his face would light up and he'd beam with pride talking about his daughters in college.”

I remember receiving an email from him regarding a silly notebook a vendor trying to get our business had sent to my attention at the office. I told him to throw it out, but he held on to it until our paths next crossed and he ensured I'd received it. That's how I'll remember him - pleasant and always willing to help.”

Over lunch he would tell me about his kids, I would do the same, and then we would talk about life. I really enjoyed my conversations with Jeff. What I'll remember most about him is his smile and his positive presence. I'm going to miss him and will think of him often, especially when I'm in the WeWork office.”
