It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Neufer Emswiler of Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Neufer; his children, Evan (Makiko) and Elaine (Jacob Benjamin); his grandchildren, Elliot and Mia; and his sister Marbeth Grouling (Tom) of Fishers, IN.
They served as ministers at Trinity UMC and Haskell Indian Institute in Lawrence, First UMC in Wichita, First UMC in Rock Island, IL, and Wesley UMC in Urbana, and at Wesley Foundation campus ministries at ISU and UIUC.
