He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Verne Hinton and Elizabeth Hinton; his sister Anita Hinton Ulery; his children, Jo Perkins (Greg) of Champaign, Meg Hinton (Jean Bernier) and Reid Hinton; his wife Jean Coon Hinton; and his daughter Mary Beth Norton. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign or the American Diabetes Association.
