He was predeceased by: his father Jeffrey Hobson; and his niece Alice Strobell. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Law Hobson; his children, Evan, Allison, Thomas and Claire; and his siblings, Jill Putnam (Don), Joey Hobson (Mindy) and Jan Strobell (Scott).
Jessen was the director of the University of Illinois-Deloitte Foundation Center for Business Analytics and the co-director of the Gies Behavioral Research Lab.
