With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George James Roney of Champaign, Illinois, born in Urbana, Illinois, who passed away on February 4, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Roney and Minnie G. Roney (Duncan); and his sisters, Jeanette Parks and Janine Martin. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carol Walden; his children, George B. Roney (Shawn) of Pesotum and Kimberly Wise (Craig) of Champaign; his grandchildren, Jessica Wise, Jacob Wise (Beth), Jennifer Schaffer (Colby), Justin Upton, Austin Upton (Amanda) and Jake Juday; and his great grandchild Luke Wise.
