He was predeceased by: his mother Patsy Dodson (Jewell); his stepmother Charlene Dodson; his siblings, Sandra Dodson and Roy Hammer; his aunt Marilyn Lobb; and his cousin Randy Lobb.
He is survived by: his father Ronald Dodson; his wife Janice Chapman; his children, Shavon Engel (Johnny) of Decatur and Donald Dodson (Tammy) of Georgia; his siblings, Shari Hanks (Ron) of Decatur, Ronnie Dodson (Lori) of North Carolina and Jennifer Mabon (Devon) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Sean Chapman, Shanea Williams, Shanley Williams, Makenzie Dodson, Madison Dodson and Makayln Dodson; and his great grandchild Brixton Hughes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
