He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rex Tohill and Edna Tohill (Roby); his children, Randy Tohill (Jennifer), Sherry Huffington (Gary), Gary Tohill (Jane) and Tom; and his grandsons, Tony Tohill (Rhonda) and Greg Tohill (Michelle). He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Cerro Gordo Bank in his honor to be rewarded to a 2023 Cerro Gordo High School graduate for continued education.
