It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Kathleen Slattery (Cerro Gordo, Illinois), born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on May 14, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lewis Merritt and Evalyn Peck Merritt; her former husband William Patrick Slattery; her grandchildren, Cerro Gordo and Kathy; her siblings, Karen Dunn (John) of Avon, CO, Kathy Handley (Lorn) of Cerro Gordo, IL and Alan Merritt of Tucson, AZ.; her sister-in-law Elaine Merritt; her sisters, Peggy Albert and Julie Snoke; her children, Mary Kathleen Slattery (Maurits Rol) of Corrales, NM, Anne Elizabeth Oliver of St. Petersburg, FL, Margaret Irene Becker (David) of Flower Mound, TX, Thomas Patrick Slattery (Kate Gorman) of Charlotte, NC and Sarah Nannette Ulbrich (Tim) of Omaha; and her grandchildren, Michael, Kelly, Becker, Riley, Lauren, Ulbrich, Nate and Anna.
