Richard Earl Carpenter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Earl Carpenter of Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2022 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Carpenter and Roberta Carpenter (Hanks). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Carpenter of Centralia; his daughter Jeri Carpenter of Centralia; his stepson Bradley Henken of Centralia; his grandchildren, Elania Carpenter of Centralia, Trenton Hintz of Centralia and Lukas Hintz of Centralia; his siblings, Gary Hanks (Michelle) of Spring Lake, Michigan, Toni Guile (Bill) of Hoffman, Bobbi Swift (Russell) of Alma and Micki Adams (Jeff) of Shattuc; and his nephew Jason Hanks (Amy) of St. Charles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the rising Covid cases, anyone who will be attending the visitation will be required to wear a mask and social distance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Shriner's Children's Hospital and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Carpenter Family.
