He was predeceased by: his son Matthew Schroeter; and his brother Gene Julius Schroeter. He is survived by: his children, Jack W. Schroeter (Sally) of Centralia, Brenda Schroeter of Centralia and Nina Benzing (Glenn) of Salem; his grandchildren, Jack T. Schroeter, Justin Oestreich, Trisha Mulvaney (Zack), Kenny Benzing (Kayla), Cory Benzing and Tim Hill; and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Kailey Hill, Madysen, Kamerin Arnold, Abel and Adalynn Benzing.
