Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William Fecht of Carthage, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 95, on December 25, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Fecht and Ollie Fecht (Johnson); and his brother John E. Fecht. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Irene Smith of Carthage; his children, Sandra M. Fecht of St. Paul, Minnesota, James W. Fecht of Falcon Heights and Robert Fecht (Shellee) of Carthage; and his grandson Wyatt Fecht of St. Louis.

The family strongly requests no flowers but rather that Bill be honored through memorials. Memorials may be directed to Camp Callahan (a summer camp for individuals age 6-65 with special needs) in Quincy or to the Maple Grove Memory Care Center in Carthage.

“Dear Wilma, I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Enjoyed the time we spent with you both. Also, when you came to see us when Don's sister passed. We still talked about the kindness you showed us. I lost my Don in February 2016. He had been quite ill for a long time. Have thought about you and Bill over the years , hoping both well.
