He was predeceased by: his parents, Elza Baker and Isabelle Baker (Goff); his son Melvin "Jimmy" Baker, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Larry Saul of Galt, Missouri.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Elaine Saul of Carthage; his daughter Jody Blackwell (Gale) of Carthage; his grandchildren, Anthony Baker, Kristina Wurster and Brandon Blackwell; his great grandchildren, Aeryess, James Baker, Riley, Emmalyn Kenney and Briella Bailey; his siblings, Reverend Earl Wayne Baker (Joan) of Green Castle, Missouri and Beverly Coon of Trenton, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Madison (Rollie) of Des Moines, Iowa, Martha McEntire of Harrison, Arkansas, Melvin Saul (Karen) of Trenton, Missouri and Marvin Saul (Sally) of Wisconsin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
