He was predeceased by: his parents, Harve Veach and Hersie Ellen Veach (Akers); his wife Wilma Schoch; his son David; and his grandson Richard Barber III.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carl, Dale Veach, Midge Veach and Betty Buzzard; his children, Danny Veach (Holly Califf), Cyndi Bigham (Tom) and Susan Veach; his daughter-in-law Susan Kirbach Veach; his grandchildren, Joel Veach (Jenni), Jenna Eslick (Joey), Carly Bigham (Jesse Gallagher) and Aubrey Nelson; and his stepgrandsons, Wesley Hudson and William Bigham.
Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy, Illinois, in care of Danny Veach, 700 Wendell, Golden, Illinois.
