She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Smock and Margaret Smock (Icenogle); her husband Harvey Carle; her children, Karen Dings and Edward; her granddaughter Tina Barclay; her granddaughter-in-law Catarina Carle; and her close friends, Paul Powell and Charles Blue.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Joan Shipman (JD) of Webster, Janet Elaine Root (late Robert) of Colchester, Lou Ann Pence (Joe) of Carthage, Jerry Alan Carle (Cathy) of Gresham and Donald Kirk Carle (Candy) of Nauvoo, Illinois; her children-in-law, Minton Dings and Patty Carle; her sisters-in-law, Maxine Johnson of Carthage and Shirley Carle of Macomb; and her caregiver Gary Smith. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Fountain Green Fire Department, McConnell-Geddes Cemetery or the family.
