He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Keith and Doris Hoing (Crose); his siblings, Judy Bolton and Charles Hoing; and his brother-in-law Dale Bruenger.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Frakes of Carthage; his daughter Dawn Sweet (Paul) of Macomb; his grandsons, Austin Donald and Justin Robert Sweet; his sisters, Roberta Bruenger of Bowen and Carol Thompson (Kenny) of Hamilton; and his brother-in-law Wayne Bolton of Carthage. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Don Hoing for the establishment of an Auto Mechanic Scholarship or H.U.G.S.
