He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred H. and Lydia Nichol, Sr. (Rouse); his former spouse Arlen P. Phelps; his wife Arlene; his children, Randall Nichol and Nancy Brand; his stepmother Pearl Nichol; and his brother William Nichol.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Balmer of Ferris, Marie Nichol of Mt. Clemens, Michigan and David Nichol of Lawton, Oklahoma; and his daughter-in-law Roberta Nichol of San Diego, California. He is also survived by three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
