With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Gobel of Carbondale, Illinois, born in Eldorado, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Gobel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gobel and Madeline Gobel (Davis); his daughter Tina Marie Schleyhahn; his brother Bill Gobel; his nephew Bobbie Gobel; and his brother-in-law Lyndal Magee.
He is survived by: his close friend Teresa Hubert of Carbondale, IL; his daughters, Tammy Ference (Matthew) of Springfield and Sarah Gobel of Springfield; his grandchildren, Jessie, Devan, Jonny Grey, Samantha Gobel, Cierra Ference, Zhayn Gobel, Marydith Ference, Zoey Gobel and Michael Ference; and his siblings, Brenda Magee of Springfield, Robert Gobel (Doris) of Pleasant Plains and Wanda Scales of Springfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
