He was predeceased by: his children, Michael Rottnek and Cheryl Phenix; his granddaughter Donna Schaffer; and his parents, Ralph and Johanna.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Rottnek; and his children, Angela Schaffer (Tim) of Cahokia, IL, Teri Mills of Millstadt, IL, JoAnn "Jodi" Malone (Kevin) of Belleville, IL and Steve Rottnek of Michigan.
