It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dean Smith of Cahokia, Illinois, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Smith and Vina J. Smith; his wife Emma Lou Smith; and his daughter Cheryl Smith Hermann. He is survived by: his daughter Robin Smith Towler (Michael); his grandchildren, Bryon Branson, Sarah Schultz and Christopher Branson; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Mills, Savannah Shultz, Abbigail, Hayden Wirtel, Wyatt Wolfmier, Haley, Hannah, Heidi, Sammuel and Kyla Branson.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
