He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nix and Callie Geneva Nix (Davidson); his wife Virginia (Loy); his son Brian Scott; and his siblings, Virgil, Dan, Lawrence, Don, Mike Nix, Lois Nix and Mary McCloud.
He is survived by: his daughter Candace; his son-in-law Inocencio "Chato" Prado; his grandchildren, Brandan and Alyce; and his great grandchildren, Amelia and Aliza.
