He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Raymond and Luella Stephens (Waibel); his brother-in-law James Stephens; and his nephew Justin Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Linda Stephens; his daughter Jennifer Kinsella (John) of California; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Fiona and Alana; his sister Kathleen Brooks (Donald) of Peotone; and his siblings-in-law, Duane Stephens (Jeri Nell), Dennis Stephens (Pam), Lori Power (Chuck) and Suzi Stephens.
