He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Gee and Helen Gee (Walka); his wife Marcia Laub; and his cousins, Shirley Dill and Jeannie Daugherty.

He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Bogner; his daughter Erin Foster (John); his granddaughters, Heidi and Tabitha Foster; his brother William Gee (Bonnie) of Lexington, IL; his uncle Warren Walka (Miriam); his cousin Mary Harris (Bill); his nephews, Ted Gee (Carol), Thad Gee (Betsey) and Tyler Gee of Bloomington, IL; and his close friend Darlene Wills.
