James McCalla Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2024, James McCalla (Bloomington, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McCalla and Waneta McCalla (Lakin). He is survived by: his wife Helen Friedrich; his daughters, Liz Montague, Angel Clark (Ross) and Melissa Manassee (Mark); his grandchildren, Monica Bada (Alex), Morgan Roberts (Kevin), Mitchell Montague (Emily), Jenny Patterson, Danny Patterson, Marie Manassee, Annie Manassee and Jimmy Manassee; his great grandchildren, Nellie Bada, Jude Bada, Bennett Roberts and Sutton Roberts; and his sister Sharon McGinnis (Don). He is also survived by "Pops" and "Papa Jim" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jim's longtime love of gardening by planting a tree in his honor. The family suggests that any donations be made to St. Mary's Church of Bloomington.
