She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Brown and Dorothy Brown (Koch); her husband James Denney; her daughter Susan Virgil; her stepson Ty Denney; her granddaughter Andrea Virgil; and her sister Dorothy Glave.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Timothy Virgil (Beverly) of Normal, IL, Michael Robert Virgil (Terri) of Middletown, IL, Kathleen Ann Miller of Bloomington, IL and Sandra Lynn Wilkins (Greg) of Maynardville, TN; her grandchildren, Tim Virgil, Stephanie Lee, Tiffany Nord, Misty Virgil, Jason Kull, Taylor Wilkins and Chevy Wilkins; her great grandchildren, Tae Virgil, Tyrell Virgil, Titan Virgil, Taylor Nord, Wyatt Nord, Hunter Nord and Voss Lee; her brother Lloyd Brown; and her close friend Karen Detherage.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Midwest Food Bank or to St. Jude Children's Research Center.
