She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lawrence Walsh and Imelda Gunn Walsh; her husband Ronald J. Knapp; her children, Kathleen Steadman (Dan) of Normal, Laura Allen (Bob) of Normal, Mary Therese Dullard (Patrick) of Normal, Nancy Bennett (Rick) of Normal, Joseph Knapp (Jodi) of Bloomington, Lawrence Knapp of Bloomington and Michael Knapp (Melissa); and her granddaughter Hannah Kathleen. She was also cherished by seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
