He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gunderson and Lorna Gunderson (Langreder); his parents-in-law, Hilbert and Laura Plegge (Gusewelle); and his brother-in-law Ken Plegge.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Plegge; his children, Jill Voss (Bradley) of Breese, IL and Greg Gunderson (Catherine) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Hanna Voss (Nick Schwaegel), Austin Voss, Alec Gunderson and Connor Gunderson; his sister Lorraine Dailey (Ron) of Collinsville, IL; his sister-in-law Linda Plegge of Moro; his niece Pam Kleckner (Eric); his goddaughter Jeanne Schultz (Jeff); his nephew David Plegge (Nicole); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Seth, Ryan Kleckner, Megan, Brent Schultz, Mia and Kate Plegge. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran School.
