Eugene Elmer Helmkamp Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Elmer Helmkamp of Bethalto, Illinois, born in Moro, Illinois, who passed away on December 2, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer E. Helmkamp and Eleanor G. Helmkamp (Wilkening); his sister Edith Garner (Chuck); and his sister-in-law Barb Helmkamp. He is survived by: his wife Janet K. (Neumann); his children, Todd Helmkamp, Wendy Jones (Max) and Michael Helmkamp; his grandchildren, J. B. Abbott (Chrissy), Christopher Helmkamp, Logan Jones, Anna Olsen (Kent), Eric Abbott (Jessica), Lauren Stahr (Josh), Grant Jones (Ashleigh), Ryan Helmkamp (Hannah) and Phoenix Josh; and his brother Lyndel Helmkamp. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church and School as well as EAA Aviation Foundation, Inc/Young Eagles.
