He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Karnes; his son Robert E. Hartley; his grandsons, Dylan M. Hartley (Floribel) of Marietta, GA and Gavin J. Hartley of Murphysboro; his sister Cynthia Hartley Seymour (Steven) of Effingham; his nephews, Jeremy Hartley Seymour (Margaret) of Lake Bluff, IL and Harper; his aunt Fran Bertram; his nieces, Vicki Bean and Kayla Stick; his pets, Pnut and Fort; and his close friend Terrie.
