She was predeceased by: her parents, John Zellweger and Marie Anna Zellweger (Polek); her husband Herman Bethmann; and her brother John Zellweger. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Dawson (Jeffery) and Christine Birchfield (Michael); and her granddaughters, Ashley Dawson and Maelyn Birchfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's honor to her family.
