He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sell and Lulu Sell; and his siblings, Elroy, Charles Sell and Vernette Dittmer.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Arlene Walters; his children, Cliff, Jr. (Doug Koehler), Thomas (Janet) and Robert (Maureen); and his grandchildren, David, Jessica and Benjamin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
