He was predeceased by: his father William (Emma); his half-brother John Edwin Hickman; and his grandparents, Henry and Lena Schlechte. He is survived by: his children, Cal, Kristen Hoepfinger, Greg Hickman and Randy Hickman; his cousins, Eric Schlechte (Katherine), Molly Bergkoetter (Craig), Linda Hagen (Tom) and Cora Schmidt; and his close friend Kirk Nordhaus.
