He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Presley Oaks and Denise Emilienne Oaks (Le Roy). He is survived by: his wife Valerie Oaks (Wood); his children, Jeffery Oaks (David Crockett) of Belleville, IL, Stacey Schaefer (Alan Banks) of Freeburg, IL and Sarah Schierkolk (Justin) of Broomfield, CO.; his grandchildren, Joshua, Stacey Oaks, Brandon Oaks, Kyle Schaefer, Cole Schaefer, AJ Banks, Claire Schierkolk and Ally Schierkolk; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Oaks, Myla Oaks, Brooklynn McClarnon and Bostynn Oaks; and his brothers, John Oaks (Ginee) of Henderson, NV, John Yunker of Belleville, IL and Donnie Yunker of Brighton, CO..
