He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton O. Stokes and Mildred C. Bell Stokes; his wife Brenda Vaughn; and his son James C. Stokes. He is survived by: his sisters, Annette Plice, Betty Webb (Richard) and Mary Pero (Les). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
