He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale H. McClain, Sr. and Zell M. McClain (Davison); his wife Janet L. Lee Howlett; and his siblings, Martha Rogers, Mary Aberle, Pauline Hall and Richard McClain.
He is survived by: his children, John McClain of Peoria and Susan McClain Foster (Ron) of Bartonville; his grandchildren, Josh Foster (Tara) of Washington, James Foster (Megan) of Pekin and Rachel Foster of Florida; his siblings, Phyllis Bloom of Peoria and Paul McClain (Sue) of Knoxville; his niece Diane Rutledge; and his close friend Jean Grammatico. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
