Nicholas G. Strubhart Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicholas G. Strubhart of Aviston, Illinois, who passed away on September 25, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Strubhart and Margaret Strubhart (Urban); his parents-in-law, Leo Orlet and Rosalia Orlet; his brothers, Charles, James, Paul, Xavier (Sam) and Thomas Strubhart; and his siblings-in-law, Margret Strubhart, Marilyn Strubhart, Marcella Strubhart and Paul Orlet.
He is survived by: his wife Marita B. Strubhart; his children, Cindy Ratermann (Mike), Joe Strubhart (Cari), Jim Strubhart (Vonnie), Jerry Strubhart (Sandy) and Jeff Strubhart (Liz); his grandchildren, Jenny Boshera (David Mitchel), Heather Ratermann, Matt Strubhart (Shannon), Adam Strubhart (Anna), Amber Strubhart, Jordan Strubhart, Hunter Strubhart, Jacob Strubhart, Luke Strubhart, Melissa Reese (Kenny) and Brandon Mills (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Brynlee Boshera, Ledah Boshera, Tristen Ratermann, Caleb Strubhart, Weston Strubhart, Brady Bagwell, Christian Reese, Rylan Mills and Adleigh Mills; his sisters, Marie Strubhart of Virginia, Martha Altgilbers, Gertrude Frey and Betty Lou Salemi; and his brother-in-law Gerald Schoenherr. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
There will be a limit of 100 people at the church for Mass and everyone in attendance will be required to wear a face mask.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Shriner's hospitals, or Aviston American Legion Post 1239 and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston.
