He is survived by : his children, Stephen Kocher, Michelle Diaz (Alex), Brian Kocher and Ken Kocher; his former life partner Josie Kocher; his siblings, Arlene Brands (Ron), Lucille "Cile" Kocher, Rev. Donald Kocher, Alvin Kocher (Joan) and Charles "Chuck" Kocher (Nancy); his grandsons, Anthony Diaz and Nicholas Diaz; his aunt Evelyn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
