He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Dicks and Mary Logan Dicks; his brothers, Wallace and Darrell; and his sister-in-law Joan Dicks.
He is survived by: his wife Iris Jeanne Lape of St. Peter, Illinois.; his sons, Bruce (Maggie) and Mark; his grandchildren, Emily, Michelle (Wesley) of Nashville, TN, Sam (Maria) of Cincinnati and Jack of Big Lake, Minnesota; his siblings-in-law, Janece of Arthur, Dr. Keith and Dr. Phyllis Lape of Jacksonville; his nieces and nephews, Kristy (Randy), Kathy (John), Debbie (Larry), Amy, Scott (Linda), Steve (Teresa), Drew and Doug (Meg); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Casey, Ashley, Kalie, Lexy, Katy, Lauren, Andrew, Lucas, Cody, Neal, Daniel, Joe, Ryan, Josh and Caleb.
