He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Theodore Hafer and Bertha Wurzburger Hafer; his former wife Patricia Guinnee; his son James David; his wife Marilu Hafer of Arthur; his children, Michael Hafer (Phyllis) of Arthur, Richard Hafer (Sara) of Rantoul and Kathryn Bogen (Peter); his brother Ron Hafer (Ellen) of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts; and his stepchildren, Joseph Platzbecker (Karen) of Roscoe, Jon Platzbecker (Kris) of Mt, Zion, James Platzbecker of Arthur, Nicholas Platzbecker (Leigh) of Antioch and Heidi Miller (Ervin) of DeBary, Florida. He was also cherished by 20 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
